We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of Slipmat, a new e-commerce destination for high-quality, personalised acrylic turntable slipmats.

Brand Architecture: Fusing Sound and Style

Before building the platform, we worked with the Slipmat team to define their full brand identity. The goal was to create a visual language that was as sleek and premium as the product itself. This included developing the primary logo, defining the colour palette, and establishing the overall sophisticated yet authentic aesthetic that links back to the brand’s UK handmade ethos. This clean visual foundation allowed us to build an elegant e-commerce experience that immediately conveys quality and bespoke craftsmanship.

The Challenge: Selling What Doesn't Exist (Yet)

The core product—custom 3mm acrylic slipmats—are handmade to order in the UK. This presented a significant visual challenge: how do we convince a customer of the quality and aesthetic of a high-gloss, personalised product without holding inventory or photographing every possible design variation?

Our primary goal was to create stunning, photorealistic digital mockups that consistently showcase the acrylic's unique properties (gloss, depth, and translucency).

Our Solution: Precision and Personalisation

We leveraged the power of WordPress and its flexible architecture to build a robust WooCommerce e-commerce platform. This required significant customisation of the underlying structure to support a seamless ordering process. Our key solutions included:

  1. Custom Visual Assets: We produced a full library of ultra-realistic base imagery for different product types (opaque, neon, transparent), providing the foundation for all product mockups.
  2. Clear User Flow: We ensured the two distinct product types—Standard Designs and Fully Personalised Designs—were immediately clear to the customer. This involved using bespoke PHP and CSS to manage conditional visibility (like the "Personalise me" overlay) based on product tags.
  3. Acoustic Detail: The design copy focuses on both aesthetic appeal and the functional benefits of the material (reduced static, tighter bass response), appealing directly to the discerning audiophile.

The result is a clean, conversion-focused website that perfectly captures the brand's identity and passion for vinyl.

Congratulations, Slipmat!

We are incredibly proud of the collaboration with the Slipmat team and excited to watch their bespoke, UK-made products find homes on turntables across the globe.
